Pastor Lody de Ridder
There are two basic involvements, the first party being City Of Praise Tiberias World Outreach Inc. a California 501(c)(3) IRS Non-Profit Corporation registered in 1996 and located at 2942 Allred St., Lakewood California 90712 USA. It was established by Alexander L. De Ridder who has been in the ministry for 30 years. Prior to the ministry, Lody was a successful international businessman for 26 years with offices in Israel, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and Los Angeles, USA. He furthermore holds a Masters Degree from the Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, USA. Pastor Lody is married for 57+ years to Peggy, they have 2 children (Marvin & Wendy), 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

On March 9, 2017 Peggy passed away and in less than one year later on January 19, 2018 Pastor Lody also passed away. They both have been courageously battling cancer for several years. Lody and Peggy left a legacy of character and faith, and it is up to us to live up to that legacy that was left for us. They will be dearly missed!
With the support from many people, businesses and from Light and Life Christian Fellowship, the City of Praise mission project continues with the vision of Pastor Lody de Ridder under the guidance of Wendy De Ridder and Tom Saras.

The second party is Dr. Larry Walkemeyer from Light and Life Christian Fellowship, North Long Beach, CA. Over the past 6 years we have seen great results in our partnership.
MISSIONS, COMMUNITY & LEADERSHIP
Dr. Larry Walkemeyer
Dr. Larry Walkemeyer and Pastor Deb Walkemeyer have led Light & Life Christian Fellowship since 1991. Starting with a handful of committed “white folks”, the church has grown into a large multi-ethnic urban church. Larry’s 30 years in ministry have included youth ministries, conference speaking, para-church leadership, radio ministry, missions work, pastoral mentoring, and over 15 national church plant projects, as well as starting church networks in the Philippines, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.
Larry is the co-author of 15 Characteristics of Effective Pastors. Azusa Pacific University named Larry one of the most influential students over its one hundred year history, and recently inducted him into their Hall of Fame. Larry is a frequent speaker to ministry leaders and has started a non-profit organization to assist kingdom work in urban and international places of need.
They have completed 19 church planting projects locally and nationally (as well 25 churches internationally).

new mission to come in the philippines
Underway in progress is a new mission in the jungles of the island of Bohol, Philippines. This is a new mission spearheaded by City of Praise Tiberias World Outreach. We are presently working with Mr. Dan and Marife Christensen and Pastor Timoteo Torrejas from the Four Square Church which we like to support and expand for the glory of Jesus Christ. This new mission is in urgent need of $2,800 to continue their mission and to expand the church. Your support in this will truly be appreciated.
