Our location
West Kalimantan aka Borneo
Kalimantan is Indonesia’s portion of the large island generally known as Borneo. It is about half way between Australia and Vietnam (North/South) and is close to both Malaysia and the Philippines (East/West). It used to be a Dutch colony and share some of the old Dutch influences. You are very welcome to visit us in the jungles of Tikalong. Borneo was also known for its Dayak headhunters! Headhunting has now ceased but many of the Dayaks are diligent talented students at the City of Praise.
The location of the school and other facilities is shown by the red dot on the map. Even though previously remote, but now with the new constructed road into the property it is easily accessible for anyone to visit. The school serves a large local community most of whom would earn less than $20 a month. Indonesia has over 17,000 islands with 329 regions and 33 provinces and more than 250 million people.
